March 25th 1.30- 3pm  At the Rainbow’s End

Timebridge Community Centre, Mobbsbury Way, Stevenage SG2 0HT

You are warmly invited to Artemis Theatre Company’s thought-provoking performance of a brand-new play At the Rainbow’s End by Clare Summerskill. This powerful, moving and occasionally shocking piece will be presented as a script in hand reading and is based entirely on interviews with older LGBT+ people who have experienced homophobia and transphobia in ‘care’.

This event is being hosted by Professor Kathryn Almack and researchers from the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration’s Ageing & Multimorbidity team.

After the performance, there will be chance to ask Clare, Kathryn and the cast questions, and reflect on what you’ve heard.

Tickets are FREE but please it is essential that you complete this form to book a seat (so we have adequate free tea, coffee and cake!). If you have any trouble with the booking link, then please do email me Leisha O’Brienl.obrien3@herts.ac.uk

‘I’ve Been Clare Summerskill’

A celebratory evening of songs and comedy presented by the legendary lesbian singer-songwriter and comedienne.

In her latest show, I’ve Been Clare Summerskill, she combines her comedy and song-writing talents to reflect upon her long career as what she terms ‘a professional lesbian’! Her humour is warm and welcoming and often far too close to the bone. Audience members of any age, sexual orientation or gender identity will relish her unique take on matters of love and lust, marriage and divorce, and middle-aged worries and wisdom. Her comedy songs are hilarious and, as you will discover, Clare is a multi-talented comedienne and musician.
